Healing Energies: Carnelian is a stone of vitality and abundance. This is a ray of sunshine that will help you bring vigor and drive into your life and body. Carnelian absolutely works all three lower chakras. These are the chakras about being physically here on earth. Need work with getting confidence, will, sensuality, etc? Facts and Lore: This is a variety of chalcedony which makes it part of the quartz family. The formula for chalcedony is SiO2. While Chalcedony is a mineral, thus making carnelian a mineral, it is not recognized as its own category. It is just a color variation of chalcedony. Carnelian has been used as a decorative stone (gem) since the beginning of stone working dating back to at least the 4th- 5th millennium BC.

These are stones that are small for pocket rocks and meditation. It is a random pull within the lot for your piece. All my pocket rocks are sorted by their measurements. The longest side is the measurement that they are sorted by. They could be very thin in both thickness and width making the measurement in length only. All pictures are from the current lot so it will hopefully give you an idea of the dimensional comparisons for your piece.

All rocks are a bit smaller than you think they are going to be! Even I order stones online and look at them as I get them from the box and have the same thought. I always get out a ruler when I am reading the measurements on a stone to help me know what to expect.

Our Sizing Guide For Pocket Stones

XSmall means the largest side is smaller than ¼ inch. These are tiny - TINY - babies!!!
Small means the largest side measures less than ½ inch. Imagine smaller than the fingernail on your pinkie finger.
Smaller Mediums are just over ½ inch on the longest side. Again, these are most often just bigger than the fingernail on your pinkie!
Medium means the largest side measures less than 1 inch but can be as small as ½ inch.
Large means the largest side measures less than 1 ½ inch but the piece can be just a smidge over 1 inch.
XLarge means the largest side measures over 1 ½ inch.
